St. Nicholas Day

We put Matthew's shoes out the evening before St. Nicholas Day (Dec 6) but I forgot to put the pictures online.  Here is what happened after St. Nicholas and his reindeer came - the cookies and carrots that we left out disappeared and this is what we found!

Matthew wasn't too sure what to make of this whole thing, but he definitely likes his fire truck and monkey!

Cold Days call for Hot Chock-it

Matthew was helping Daddy drive the tractor around the yard and put snow tires on Mama's car.  When he came back in, his fingers and toes were pretty cold but he couldn't stop talking about all the fun he'd been having.  Here he is celebrating with a mug of hot "chock-it" aka chocolate.

And he's ready to go back outside again!

Go Fly a Kite

I found a kite in our closet today and since the wind was blowing, we decided to try it out!  Matthew had a blast!

October Recap

Nick turned 18 on Oct 7 - we celebrated with a family dinner.  Nick looks a little shell-shocked!  It must be tough becoming an adult!

Sorry to the few of you who follow this blog - it's been a while since I've done anything.  But now we have a new computer and a better internet set-up, so WATCH OUT!!!

Myrtle Beach

We had a great time last month at Myrtle Beach!  Could barely keep Matthew out of the water long enough to have breakfast.

Even when he was visiting with Great-Granny, Matthew was prepared for a dip in the ocean!

Mine Froggy Puddy

A friend of ours made Matthew a new pillow case covered with frogs, and is perfect for keeping at day care.  Matthew calls it Mine Froggy Puddy aka My Froggy Pillow and he loves it! 

Matthew's Birthday in MN - part 2

We had a co-birthday party for Matthew and Great-Grandma Letha, plus it was Easter then so we had an Easter Egg Hunt too!

This weekend, Matthew and I went to Como park with our friend Coleen. It was great weather finally and we went inside the conservatory to see the flowers. Matthew wasn’t happy about flowers, but the fish pond sure was interesting!
