Favorite toys

Two of Matthew's favorite toys - his rocking horse.. and the laundry hamper.  You can probably tell that he did a flying leap off of the hamper seconds after this picture was snapped.  Sigh.

New towel from Santa

Santa brought a new towel for Matthew - it's a bunny but he calls it a puppy.  He likes to peak out from under the hood and then run away streaking through the house.

Santa brings furniture

Who knew that Santa worked at Ikea???  Luckily Daddy had the tools to assemble the table, chairs and stepstool.  Mama took care of the soft "armchair" that Matthew likes to climb all over - the armchair has since been relocated to Nick's room so that Matthew can't flip it over backwards into the tree again.

Sit & Spin and Climb??

A favorite toy from Grandma Ginny - the Sit & Spin has been lots of fun for Matthew and lots of worry for Mom and Dad.
Matthew thinks it's fun to stand on the seat, just to see if it will move when he wiggles!  Then he'll sit on the handle part and laugh.  All of that fun usually ends when Matthew lands on the floor - he's still surprised when he falls!

Christmas cookies

We were so busy having fun over Christmas break, that we didn't get any pictures sent to the blog - I'll try to catch you up on the highlites!

Here is Matthew after "helping" to ice the Christmas cookies.  He really liked shaking the sprinkles but wasn't sure about the glow-in-the-dark colors that I mixed up.
